Before I begin…

Toronto is one of the best cities for coffee lovers. There are plenty of different shops with a wide variety of brews and beverages, as well as snacks and treats to eat while you enjoy your drink. This blog post will guide you through some of the best coffee shops in Toronto, starting from east to west.

What is Vietnamese coffee?

Vietnamese coffee is an iced or hot coffee drink made from a blend of finely ground dark roasted beans, sugar, and chicory. Like Turkish coffee, it is usually made with robusta beans but can also be made with other varieties such as arabica. Some coffee shops may offer sweetened condensed milk on the side for customers who want their coffee to have a richer taste. Sweetened condensed milk is unnecessary, but it will do the trick if you’re looking for an extra burst of flavor!

How to make Vietnamese coffee

Vietnamese coffee is a rich, dark, and sweet-tasting brew that has become popular worldwide. In Vietnam, it is commonly served as a condensed milk iced coffee with an egg yolk or two floating on top. The recipe for Vietnamese iced coffee is straightforward: pour hot black coffee into a cup, add sugar to taste, and then top with an equal amount of sweetened condensed milk. Add ice cubes and stir vigorously until you have created a frothy coffee drink.

Traditional Vietnamese coffee

To make traditional Vietnamese coffee (served at the restaurant), follow these steps Steep ground roasted dark roast coffee beans in boiling water for five minutes. Strain the grounds out and returns the liquid to the pot. Add 1/2 can evaporated milk and 1/2 can sweetened condensed milk to pot and simmer, occasionally stirring, until desired sweetness is reached. Pour into cups, garnish with half an egg yolks cooked so that it will float on top of the beverage if not used immediately, and serve immediately while warm.

Coffee shops in the neighborhood

We are a family of coffee lovers. The first thing we do when we wake up is drink a cup, and the last thing we do before bed is to drink a cup of coffee. For that reason, I’ve compiled a list of my favorite coffee shops in Toronto.

1) Crema Coffee Company – One of the newest additions to Leslieville, Crema has tons of space inside with an intimate backyard patio.

2) Rooster Coffee House – Another new cafe on Leslieville Ave., Rooster features cozy couches, eclectic decor, and plenty of natural light.

3) Climpson & Sons – One of the oldest roasteries in Canada with a cult following, Climpson also brews a mean espresso!

Place you’ve never heard of but will fall in love with
Rustle & Still:

This coffee shop is a bit of a hidden gem, located in one of the busiest areas of Toronto. The space has an industrial feel with big windows and high ceilings. This shop has a rotating menu of coffees that are roasted on-site, so you can always expect something new. But if your favorite beans aren’t available, don’t worry! They have 12 different options from other roasters.

They offer all sorts of specialty drinks like Matcha lattes and nitro cold brews, but they also serve espresso shots for those looking for more traditional options. There’s not much seating inside, but it makes up for this by providing ample outdoor patio seating in good weather.
